About Me

As your child's Math and Science teacher, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about getting to know you and your child, as we work together to have a great year!

I have served in education for over ten years in a variety of roles, from elementary and preschool education to educational research and development. Having taught 3rd grade at Ellisor for the last few years, I also taught on the Math Intervention Team at Smith Elementary, as well as at Christ Church Preschool in The Woodlands. My educational experience includes a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Tech University, certifications in Gifted and Talented studies and English as a Second Language, as well as serving as Project Director and Coordinator in educational research with Houston ISD and M.D. Anderson - Behavioral Sciences. In addition, I have been married to my wonderful husband Jason for over 18 years, and we have an amazing, thirteen year old daughter named Lauren.

As the co-lead for our Ellisor Growing Garden and Outdoor Classroom, Ellisor students have the unique opportunity to learn hands-on about gardening, caring for our environment, and healthy habits. If you have any interest in our garden or the garden club, please see our school blog for more information.

I believe that by creating a classroom atmosphere where each student feels safe, loved, and successful, your child will flourish in their own abilities. I know that together, we can make this a wonderful school year for your child. My conference time is from 9:20 until 10:05, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. It is important to keep communication open between us, and I hope to talk to you whenever you feel the need. My email is
